Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the preschool and after-school program, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating educational environment.
- Implement a high-quality curriculum that complies with state and federal guidelines and supports the developmental needs of children.
- Hire, train, and supervise teachers and support staff, providing ongoing professional development and performance evaluations.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with families, conducting regular communication and organizing family engagement activities.
- Monitor and maintain licensing requirements, accreditation standards, and safety regulations to ensure full compliance.
- Manage the center's budget, including the allocation of funds for supplies, equipment, and staff salaries.
- Create and implement policies and procedures that support the health and well-being of all children and staff members.
- Lead marketing efforts to promote the center, including community outreach, advertising, and maintaining an active online presence.
- Analyze program data to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies that enhance the quality of the center's services.
- Collaborate with other educators and professionals to share best practices and participate in continuous learning.
- Address any disciplinary or behavioral issues among children in a constructive and age-appropriate manner.

Job Requirements
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
- State certification or licensure for preschool education, if required
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in early childhood education settings
- At least 3 years of director-level or administrative experience in a preschool or school-age program
- Strong knowledge of state and national accreditation standards for early childhood programs
- Proven track record in managing and leading a team of educators and staff
- Experience in curriculum development and implementation for early childhood and school-age programs
- Familiarity with child care management systems and software
- Financial acumen to manage budgets, payroll, and financial planning for the center
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with children, parents, staff, and community members
- Ability to ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the center
- Experience in conducting staff evaluations, providing professional development, and hiring qualified personnel
- Capability to develop and maintain strong relationships with families and community stakeholders
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities of the program
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the learning environment
- CPR and First Aid certification
